I would like to thank you for coming up with a simple yet effective way to stop thumbsucking.  My 5 year old has sucked his thumb since age 2.  This is the ONLY thing that has worked.  He has taking to wearing it in his stride and has no issues about wearing it.  He has just started school and has no problem in telling the other children what it is for when they ask!

I recommend it 100%

We  LOVE this product!   It saved my family hundreds of dollars in expensive dental devices the dentist wanted to use to get my 4ys old to stop sucking her thumb but this did the trick painlessly, non-evasively, and very affordable.  And,  my little one was very excited to pick out her favorite colors all on her own. In fact, the day they arrived in the mail she wanted to wear it, put it on and that was the end of the thumb sucking- honestly, it was that easy!

 Thank you!

“I have been successfully using Thumbusters for several years to help reduce thumb sucking habits in my younger patients. They have worked well and are greatly appreciated by the parents. It has been a comfortable, non-invasive technique for resolving a sometimes difficult problem.”

My son just turned four and when we tried to get him to stop sucking his thumb before now nothing worked, he had access to it. Thumbsters or “greenthumb” as we called it worked so awesome as the reminder he needed to not go to the thumb but instead to remember “Jesus is my comfort.” He was done by day two with sucking it during the day and had only worn “greenthumb” two nights! After the third night he didn’t want it anymore. I kept checking on him and sure enough he has not sucked his thumb even at night!!! The sticker incentives are great! We also did a “prize after three days” at the dollar store he got to pick out on his own, and then every week for a month he gets to do that again. He did want and try to get us to take it off of him those first two nights with a “it hurts” “it doesn’t fit” on and on….but don’t give in! After he knew we weren’t giving in, he settled and now, 5 days without the thumb and he is doing great without it, doesn’t even want it anymore! Jesus is indeed comfort enough! Thanks thumbsters.

It is also affordable and I may even order another.”

“Your Thumbusters worked great! My daughter is seven going on eight and we have tried a bunch of different things without success! Your product is comfortable and she has no problem wearing it. In just two weeks, we think we have it licked! Thanks and good luck!”

“My daughter (age 5) is doing great using it. She was asking how to stop sucking her thumb and was definately ready to do it but needed just a little help (and socks didn’t do it!). She thought the thumbuster was cool and even wore it to school. I really like that it allows the user to continue playing and doing normal activities while wearing it. The only other option out there right now is that horrible expensive plastic thumb cover with the straps you have to cut off (which is probably fine for a young child for bedtime). She is down to just wearing it at night now. If anyone has any questions about it or you need someone to “say good things” about your product, I’d be happy to. Thanks again.”

For what it is, it seems overpriced, but it’s saving me a bundle down the road; When we took it out of the package, I thought there was no way it was going to fit my 4 year old son’s thumb because it looked really small. That’s where the spandex comes in… He loves the color green and I don’t sew, so this was alright for us. It comes with a chart to keep track of how many days/weeks they have gone through without sucking their thumb. If your child is 2 or 3 or even a young 4, this product will not be as effective. It only works if you know what buttons to push to get them to quit. It serves as a reminder and helps them at night. We used bribery in the form of toys at the end of each week. Now that we have completed 6 weeks of non-thumbsucking, he really doesn’t need it anymore, but it’s sort of a security blanket. It’s a little worn, but not falling apart.

The sooner you can get them to quit sucking their thumb and make it rewarding for them, the better off they will be. No more thumb in mouth right after touching a grocery cart loaded with germs, or worrying about their permanent teeth coming in like Tow-Mater. In the 6 weeks we have been thumb-free, the gap between his front teeth has closed and his teeth have set back into correct place. This will not happen after about 5-6 years old. It’s also the most humane and pain-free way to break the habit. Don’t wait until they are 5 or 6 and the habit is fully ingrained. Get this tool, or something similar and go for it when they are at least 3 or 4. Any earlier and they won’t understand or have the ability to make that kind of commitment.

Yes, it’s overpriced, but it’s saving me a fortune in dental bills later on. So is it really overpriced?

“YOU GUYS ARE GREAT. It took two weeks and my daughter who is fixing to be 8 was able to break the habit. I didn’t think it was possible. THANK YOU SO MUCH.”

“My son is going on 8 in a couple of weeks.  He sucked his thumb since birth and I never thought he would stop.  I ordered your thumbuster a few weeks ago.  He stopped sucking thumb within 2 weeks!  I want to thank you because my son in extremely happy that he is no longer sucking  his thumb.  He’s happy so I’m happy. Thank you.”

“I just wanted to thank you folks for helping my daughter to quit sucking her thumb.  We got your literature at the orthodontist office where we were in the process of getting ready to get a rake put in her mouth, to the tune of $800.00.  Now I am happy to report that she has quit sucking her thumb just by wearing your product.  Thanks again and keep up the good work.”

“I wanted to post this on your website but I didn’t know how to do that.  My seven year old son and five year old daughter have both been sucking their thumbs since they were infants and were not able to stop on their own.  It has been 10 days with the thumbuster and whenever the thumbuster is on, they don’t suck their thumb.  After a few days of the thumbuster, we took it off for school and they didn’t suck their thumbs at school because the habit had been broken.  They still wear the thumbuster to bed but I am so grateful for your product.  I can’t believe it worked so quickly.  I would recommend it to everyone!  Thank you so much for this product.”

“I normally do not write to give my support for a product, but after seeing my son stop sucking his thumb during the day after 5 days and completely stop after 2 weeks, I was amazed!  Thank you for such a simple and “cool” product (at least according to my son).”

“Hello,

I have identical twin girls that are five years old and have sucked their thumbs nonstop since birth. I thought they would never stop. I ordered them each a thumbbuster and they have not sucked their thumbs for 3 weeks now, not even once. I thought I would never see the day. I love that it is such a positive process, including the charts. Thank you from our family.”

- Carmen Fischer; Spokane, WA

“I ordered your product a few weeks ago and I just wanted to let you know that it WORKED! My daughter is 7 and we have struggled for years to break her thumb sucking habit. She is very stubborn and was convinced she couldn’t survive without sucking her thumb. Last month we went to the dentist and AGAIN he chastised her for continuing to suck her thumb. I asked for suggestions on how to get her to quit and he suggested I wrap her thumb in duct tape! Well, I wasn’t ready to go that far and that’s when I found your Thumbuster web site. She took to it immediately, very proud of having the control; she even took it to school to show off to her friends! Now it’s been two weeks and for the last week she’s only been wearing it at night, it’s been a miracle worker and I plan to tell my dentist about it so he can start suggesting this instead of putting yucky duck tape on the kid’s thumbs.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
